Highly Sensitive people sometimes lack the faith in themselves to lead their happiest and most productive lives. I’m one of those people. It wasn’t until I took an inventory of myself that I started to make personal progress.
Self-faith is a pretty good estimate of a person’s possibilities in life. No person ever does anything outstanding with little faith in themselves. If faith is weak, a person’s efforts will be weak. The faith in yourself unlocks your power and enables you to better use your natural ability.
Everyone has a unique “genius” quality. We owe it to ourselves and society to seek and utilize our best qualities. Some people may say they have no special talent, that they are not brilliant, and that they don’t believe that they have ability to have much success no matter how hard they work.
Faith is that something within us which doesn’t guess, but knows. It gives us a glimpse of our possibilities to keep us from losing heart and from quitting our upward life journey. Our faith sees our strong points and potential which our doubts and fears hide from us. True faith is assured and is never afraid because it sees the way out and sees the solution to our problems.
Here are some tips to develop faith in yourself:
* Make a list of your strengths. It’s very easy to minimize our natural abilities. We take for granted that if something comes easy to us, it’s not a useable or unique skill. Use your “gifts” to give yourself the self-confidence needed to take advantage of the powers of self-faith.
* Make a list of good things that people say about you. This exercise will give you more clues about your strengths. These positive comments will also increase your self-esteem.
* Be an information gatherer. Get information from your library, read books and magazines, listen to positive and uplifting CD’s, go to classes, socialize with others, and get different points of view. You’ll get an increased good feeling that you’re taking steps to improve yourself.
* Get support from positive and uplifting people. It’s too easy to get yourself off track. Seek a “support team” that will keep you motivated. Stay away or keep your distance from people who are a negative influence on you.
When you have faith in yourself, other people will look at you in a more positive light. They will like, trust, and have more respect for you. This will increase the feeling you have about yourself.
Go boldly forward in your life and don’t be afraid. Expect and assume that you are a great person. Your actions will open you up to unlimited life possibilities.
